De Beers Jewellers' latest fine jewellery collection focuses on radiant diamonds and reflects the magnificent natural landscapes from which De Beers diamonds originated.
Reflections of Nature is inspired by remote and magnificent natural landscapes, with five sets of 39 extraordinary jewellery pieces: Okavango Grace, Motlatse Marvel, Namib Wonder, Landers Radiance and Ellesmere Treasure.
The artful blend of white and coloured rough diamonds and polished diamonds, as well as a large number of fancy-cut diamonds, highlights De Beers' efforts to preserve the natural environment and build a green future.
"We call these long-term commitments Building Forever, with a vision that includes creating thriving communities and protecting the natural environment," the jeweller said. "One way to achieve this is through De Beers' Diamond Route, which covers an area of approximately 200,000 hectares in southern Africa and includes a range of highly impactful ecological reserves, with a focus on protecting natural resources, habitats and wildlife." Inspired by the towering, slender reeds of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the
"Elegance of the Okavango" features rough diamonds and polished diamonds suspended in organic and clean lines, with a professional and ingenious setting that presents a vivid beauty, like a reed swaying in the breeze. This set presents colorful rough diamonds, including green, pink, brownish pink, purple and gray rough diamonds, reflecting the natural and original characteristics of the Okavango and contrasting with the gradual change in size of a flowing water round brilliant white diamond.
"Wonders of Motlatse" is reminiscent of Motlatse Canyon in South Africa, with its towering peaks and deep caves creating spectacular views, especially at sunrise and sunset. Carefully re-cut long stepped diamonds, orbited in rows of sleek diamond lines, resemble the toughness of canyon rocks, while adopting softer, feminine cuts such as pillow, round brilliant, olive-pointed and pear-shaped cuts.
